Bien VenU is an Open Door Property

Welcome to the ideal event and hotel experience!

Bien VenU Event Center and Holiday Inn & Suites Cedar Falls are owned and operated by Open Door Hospitality. Open Door Hospitality owns and operates a number of hotels in northeastern Iowa, including several in the vicinity of Bien VenU.

Founded in 1997 on the premise that we exist for our customers, and not the other way around, we emphasize service, quality, courtesy, and respect for everyone who walks through our doors. We encourage you to explore our hotel and Bien VenU Event Center. You’ll find everything you need — and even some extra touches you may not know you needed — along with experienced, professional staff dedicated to making your stay or event an ideal experience you’ll remember for all the right reasons.

Our Names Mean “Welcome”

Bien VenU and Open Door Hospitality. Both names mean “welcome,” and speak to our culture of welcoming all our guests to a beautiful setting and gracious service. Bienvenue comes from Old French and literally means “Welcome”: bien (well)+ venue (come). Over time, the French abstracted “Venue” from Bienvenue, referring to someone coming to an event, or one’s arrival at an event. “Hospitality” comes from the Latin root hospitare, “a host to receive and entertain a guest.”

We chose our names to accurately reflect who we are as a business and what you can expect as our customer. Our doors are always open to welcome you to a superior guest experience.

Mission & Vision

Mission

We know you have many options when it comes to hotels and event venues. We also know that we offer a unique and special blend of luxury, comfort, quality and service. We will not rest until we have ensured that your experience with us is the best it can possibly be. We follow a credo variously attributed to several famous people. While its origin is uncertain, its message is crystal clear. It’s our mission to live up to this statement in everything we do:

“Every customer is the most important visitor on our premises. They are not dependent on us. We are dependent on them. They are not an interruption of our work, they are the purpose of it. They are not outsiders to our business, they are part of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them. They are doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so. They are not people to argue with. Nobody has ever won an argument with a customer. They are people who bring us their wants. It’s our job to handle those wants profitably for them and for ourselves.”
